Virtual Currency, Purchases & Refunds
Effective date: March 5, 2026
1) Virtual currency is not real money
PeakJoyCanada may offer virtual items such as coins, chips, tokens, points, boosts, or similar (“Virtual Currency”). Virtual Currency has no cash value, is not withdrawable, and is not redeemable for money, prizes, or any thing of value outside the Service. Virtual Currency is licensed for use within the Service only and is non-transferable except where required by law.
2) Optional purchases
You may be able to purchase Virtual Currency and/or digital items. Purchases are optional and are not required to use basic features. Prices are shown at the point of purchase, typically in Canadian dollars (CAD), and may include applicable taxes (e.g., GST/HST) as required. Your bank, card issuer, or app store may apply additional fees or currency conversion charges.
3) Billing, delivery, and account responsibility
- Payments may be processed by third-party platforms (e.g., Apple App Store / Google Play) or our payment providers. Your purchase is subject to the platform/provider terms in addition to this policy.
- Virtual Currency is generally delivered immediately after purchase. If delivery is delayed or missing, contact us with your receipt/order information.
- You are responsible for all purchases made from your account or device, including by anyone who has access. Keep passwords and device access controls secure.
4) Refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks
All sales of Virtual Currency and digital items are generally final once delivered, unless required by applicable Canadian law or the relevant platform/provider refund rules.
- App store purchases: Request refunds/cancellations through the store where you purchased (e.g., Apple or Google), as they control billing and refund decisions.
- Direct purchases (if available): Contact us promptly. If a refund is approved, we may remove the associated Virtual Currency/items and/or adjust your balance for any portion already used.
- Chargebacks: Unauthorized or disputed payments may result in temporary suspension while we investigate, and may lead to balance adjustments and account restrictions to prevent misuse.
5) Spending controls and safety tips
- Use device/app store purchase authentication (PIN/biometrics) and consider parental controls if children use the device.
- Set budgets and review purchase history regularly in your payment method or app store account.
- If you believe a purchase was made without authorization, contact your platform/provider and notify us.
6) Changes to this policy
We may update this page to reflect changes to features, pricing practices, or legal requirements. The effective date above indicates when this policy was last updated.
